Pathway School takes the three-root philosophy of “Morality – Wisdom, and Willpower” as the core foundation of the school’s culture.

We aim to connect those with the same dream and ambition to educate people to build a robust community where every member dares to live honestly until the end, serve, help, share unconditionally, make, and spread good things to the community.

The culture of Pathway School is the combination of 5 elements: Mindfulness, Warrior, Understanding & Love, Kindness and Self-learning. The school designs all activities based on these cultural elements, characterizing the image of the people and Pathway School.

MINDFULNESS CULTURE

Mindfulness Culture is one of the practices that helps cultivate and purify the mind, allowing us to become more peaceful within ourselves and more harmonious in our relationships. Through mindfulness, we are better able to recognize what should and should not be done, respond appropriately, and make wiser decisions.

Mindfulness Culture activities help us calm the mind, focus on what is right, work more effectively, and bring PEACE into both our work and daily life.

Mindfulness Culture is practiced through various activities such as the Mindfulness Bell, Meditation, Peaceful Meals, Meditation Song, and one-day or two-day Practical Mindfulness Programs, among others.

MINDFULNESS BELL

At Pathway School, the “Mindfullness bell” rings once an hour. Whenever the sound comes out, everyone stops everything they are doing, relax and focus on breathing. Mindfulness bell encourages practitioners to focus on the present and let go of the past to achieve a tranquil mood.

MEDITATION

Meditation aids practitioners in feeling calm inside, bringing them back to the present. We strongly advise all personnel to continue this routine. They only need to sit and concentrate on their breathing at the appropriate time of day. Your deeds take on meaning when your mind is at ease.

MINDFUL STEPS

Pathway School members frequently engage in mindful exercises incorporating their natural breathing. Every step shows a sense of the individual living in peace and enjoying their freedom.

SLEEP MEDITATION

Practicing sleep meditation makes our body and mind unwind, heal, and restore. We lay down, relax, control our breathing, and express our gratitude and love to our body’s cells.

PEACEFUL MEAL

All members have special meals called “Peaceful meals” every Monday. Everyone participates in this practice while paying attention to their thoughts and breathing… from waiting in line, selecting food, sitting down, and continuing through the meal and dishwashing. Practitioners can nourish their love and appreciation for everything by eating in peace. When we are aware of where it comes of this food, it works. Additionally, eating in a quiet atmosphere encourages us to develop the healthy habit of chewing our food thoroughly before we swallow.

MEDITATION MUSIC

Meditation music is music that, when sung aloud, puts us at rest. Members of Pathway School can communicate with one another by singing various meditation songs together.

TRADITIONAL SONG

The song “Hieu va thuong” was chosen by Pathway School as its traditional song to spread positive cultural values among all teachers, staff, parents, and students.

Thiền Ca Làng Mai

Anh em ta từ bốn phương trời
Chị em ta từ khắp năm châu
Không phân biệt màu da tôn giáo
Cùng về đây xây đắp yêu thương

Hiểu và thương, hiểu và thương
Có hiểu thì mới có thương
Hiểu càng sâu, thương càng rộng
Hiểu càng rộng, thương càng sâu

Hiểu sâu, thương lớn
Hiểu và thương,
hiểu và thương, hiểu và thương.

05 LEVELS OF MINDFULNESS PRACTICE

Pathway School provides appropriate policies and support to help teachers and staff develop the habit of practicing Mindfulness through a five-level pathway. This framework serves as an important foundation for Mindfulness Culture to become an integral part of the educational environment across the Pathway School system, contributing to an improved quality of life, work, and learning for all teachers, staff, and students.

WARRIOR CULTURE

Warrior Culture is the spirit of self-discipline, a sense of responsibility toward teammates, a commitment to dedicating oneself to the team, and an attitude of unconditional service for the collective goals of the organization.

It is reflected in setting the right goals, making continuous efforts, and never giving up in pursuit of those goals. At the same time, each member strengthens their willpower through discipline and compliance, while practicing empathy to support and uplift the team toward shared goals.

Warrior Culture is brought to life through bonding activities such as Team Building; willpower-building activities such as the Pathway Olympics; and breakthrough training programs such as Summer Camp and Winter Camp. Through these experiences, the warrior spirit is spread among teachers and staff, helping build a collective characterized by discipline and responsibility.

TEAM BUILDING

Team Building is a training program designed to strengthen team connection and team formation. It is a challenging yet meaningful journey where members deeply experience the spirit of Warrior Culture through activities that push them beyond their limits.

The program also creates opportunities to strengthen collective bonds, build a strong team, and develop the readiness to face challenges in both work and life.

PATHWAY OLYMPICS

The Pathway Olympics, held annually in October, is a special sporting event for all teachers and staff across Pathway School.

More than just an exciting sports event, it provides members with opportunities to strengthen their willpower and endurance and demonstrate their warrior spirit. It is also a chance to promote teamwork and foster a positive culture of unity throughout Pathway School.

BREAKTHROUGH TRAINING PROGRAMS

Winter Camp and Summer Camp are two breakthrough training programs built around the philosophy of “train yourself before training others”, designed for Skills Teachers at Pathway School.

More than simply skills-training programs, they carry a greater mission: bringing together experienced members and newcomers as one united team, connected by a shared aspiration to nurture future generations with strong inner strength.

UNDERSTANDING & LOVE CULTURE

Understanding & Love Culture is a journey of practice to understand ourselves, understand others, love ourselves, and love others, reflecting the spirit of supporting one another in peace and connecting with one another through understanding. Practicing Understanding & Love Culture helps build a connected and supportive community where members care for and assist one another while working together toward shared goals.

Understanding & Love Culture is expressed through activities such as Listening, Circle Sharing, and Talkshows with the Executive Board, among others.

LISTENING CHANNEL

The Listening Channel at Pathway School serves as a two-way bridge for sharing and feedback, where teachers and staff receive guidance, companionship, and support in their work.

More than simply a channel for receiving feedback, it is also a space for understanding, connection, and empathy, helping each individual feel cared for and valued.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Cultural Activities are a way of organizing and managing collective activities that strengthen team connection among members within each campus, division, or department.

They are held weekly or monthly, with each session lasting from 60 to 120 minutes. These activities provide opportunities for members to share, listen, and better understand one another’s perspectives, thereby building stronger and more lasting connections within the team.

TALKSHOW WITH THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Talkshow with the Executive Board is not only an opportunity to share the organization’s direction and strategies, but also an important occasion to demonstrate and practice Understanding & Love Culture throughout Pathway School.

During the program, teachers and staff can raise questions about matters related to their work and the organization’s development. The Executive Board shares the organization’s direction and strategies and responds directly to questions from teachers and staff.

KINDNESS CULTURE

Kindness Culture is expressed through acts of giving and spreading positive values, both material and spiritual, to ourselves, our families, the community, and the environment, without expecting anything in return.

Through kindness, we nurture the seeds of goodness within ourselves, awaken the positive qualities in each person, move toward higher values in life, and contribute to creating HAPPINESS.

Kindness Culture is reflected through activities such as No-Envelope Culture, Zero-Fare Bus, school-building and library-building projects, among others.

NO-ENVELOPE CULTURE

Pathway School aims to be a place that nurtures and connects educators who place character education at the heart of their work and consider the growth of their students their greatest achievement and most meaningful reward. These are educators who are deeply committed to the journey of creating meaningful values through education.

In this spirit, Pathway School has established the “No-Envelope Culture” as an ethical principle and standard of conduct in both the educational and working environment, with the aim of building a transparent and fair environment free from personal interests.

Accordingly, during holidays and special occasions, teachers and staff do not accept cash envelopes or gifts from parents and students. If parents and students still wish to express their appreciation, books, plants, or handmade gifts are warmly welcomed by teachers.

CHARITY PROGRAMS

Charitable activities such as building schools and libraries, providing scholarships for disadvantaged students, and visiting and supporting shelters and charitable homes not only provide financial assistance to help schools and students overcome difficulties and continue their education, but also spread the values of love and sharing, encouraging them to move forward in life.

Through these acts of kindness, Pathway School not only demonstrates its responsibility to the community but also inspires students on their journey of pursuing knowledge and dreams while nurturing strong character.

ZERO-FARE BUS

The Zero-Fare Bus is organized to help people in difficult circumstances who are living in Ho Chi Minh City return to their hometowns and reunite with their families during the Lunar New Year.

Traveling through provinces such as Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, and Quang Ngai, the journey is more than simply a free ride home; it is a journey filled with love, sharing, and hope.

The program not only brings people home but also brings Kindness Culture closer to the community, contributing to a warmer and more fulfilling Lunar New Year for everyone.

HUMANITARIAN BLOOD DONATION

Humanitarian Blood Donation at Pathway School is a meaningful activity through which teachers and staff embody the spirit of Kindness Culture by sharing the gift of life.

The event also provides an opportunity to spread a message of compassion, strengthen a sense of responsibility toward the community, and demonstrate the collective commitment of Pathway School to building a better society.

SELF-LEARNING CULTURE

Self-Learning Culture is the mindset of proactively learning, researching, and exploring the knowledge, skills, and ways of thinking needed to develop the capabilities of oneself or the team with clear goals.

Through Self-Learning Culture, every teacher and staff member can become more PROACTIVE in life, contribute to the development of the School, improve their quality of life, and create greater value for society.

Self-Learning Culture is reflected through activities such as Book Review Day, Improvement Idea Day, Talent Development Programs, and Personal Happiness Indicators (PHIs), among others.

BOOK REVIEW DAY

Book Review Day not only encourages a culture of reading but also creates opportunities for teachers and staff to share and learn from one another, broaden their knowledge, strengthen team connection, and promote Self-Learning Culture within the Pathway community.

IMPROVEMENT IDEA DAY

Improvement Idea Day is a creative platform where teachers and staff can share innovative ideas and improvements in teaching, management, and school operations.

These initiatives contribute to the development of the school system, gradually improving the quality of education, services, and the experience of students and parents, while building an increasingly professional teaching and working environment.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Talent Development Program is designed to develop a high-quality workforce and build a strong pipeline of future talent for the school system.

NEW STAFF ONBOARDING TRAINING

The New Staff Onboarding Training program helps new members quickly become familiar with the working environment, gain a deeper understanding of the Three Roots Philosophy – Morality, Wisdom, and Willpower, and learn how to practice the activities associated with the Five Cultural Values, thereby developing a shared mindset across the school system.

SYSTEM TRAINING

System Training programs, such as The Journey to Creating a Character Education Environment, Standards of Conduct, and Beginning-of-School-Year Orientation Training, are designed for all teachers and staff to build a shared mindset on the journey toward creating a Character School.

At the same time, these programs strengthen team connection, inspire and motivate each member to continuously learn and contribute, and help ensure effective work performance across the School.

04 SOFT SKILLS TRAINING

The Four Soft Skills Training program covers Communication, Supervision, Planning, and Problem Solving. It is designed to strengthen the professional capabilities and practical working skills of teachers and staff across Pathway School.

The program aims to build a strong team with the ability to communicate effectively, supervise thoroughly, plan systematically, and solve problems flexibly.

It also helps each individual develop systems thinking, become more proactive at work, and collaborate more effectively with colleagues, thereby improving the quality of teaching, management, and operations throughout Pathway School.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Professional Training programs are designed for teachers across different educational levels to improve teaching quality, align approaches within each level, and ensure continuity throughout students’ learning journeys.

At the same time, these programs encourage teachers to proactively develop their individual capabilities and contribute to continuously improving the character education environment.

LEARNING ON THE ePMS PLATFORM

The ePMS platform (Electronic Performance Management System) is an integrated system for online training management and work performance management.

Teachers and staff can proactively learn online while tracking their individual development pathways based on a competency-level framework.

In addition, ePMS supports the setting and tracking of goals from the organization and department levels down to individual goals, ensuring strong alignment and enabling work progress to be evaluated based on specific data. This helps improve performance and increases each member’s ability to achieve their Personal Happiness Indicators (PHIs).
